Laboratory of fundamental interaction theory

The Laboratory of fundamental interaction theory (LFIT) was established in 1991. From the very beginning of its activity and till present it is leaded by Professor, DSc. Eduard Boos.

Currently the scientists of the Laboratory carry out research in the following directions:

• calculations, simulation and analysis of signal and background processes of elementary particles collisions in different calibration theories (Standard Model and its extensions) and basing on it development of recommendations for organization of experiments on the active and planned collaiders, in particular, on LHC;
• development of new models of elementary particles interactions at energy of 1 TeV and over;
• studies of possibility for development of new models of elementary particles interactions on a principally new basis, in particular, on the basis of supersymmetry theory, field theories with additional spatial dimensions, superstring theory;
• development of new models of elementary particles interactions at energy of 1 TeV and over.

The scientists of the Laboratory take active part in international collaborations D0, CMS, LC/CLIC, NICA. They also participate in many international working groups on active and planned colliders. In future the scientists of the Laboratory plan to take part in the development and execution of the program of physical experiments on LHC and LC.

The scientists of the Laboratory collaborate with a number of Russian and foreign scientific centers such as JINR (Dubna), ITEP (Protvino), INR (Moscow), CERN (Switzerland), DESY (Germany), FermiLab (USA), KEK (Japan), LAPP (France).
